Post by Emparus » Sat Jan 19, 2019 6:08 pm

Railcore II Y carriage for Dual extrusion using the Bondtech BMG-X2 EXTRUDER and E3D Chimera. 2x GDStime Technology 24V 0.1A 40mm blowers for cooling. I will use a Omron E2B-M12KN08-WP-C1 2M inductive probe with this. Files thing:3367107

Working quite nicely. Just installed the head and printed with PETG. No calibrations or adjustments yet just happy that my config file and profile for Simplify3D actually work. Lost 5cm in build height and 4 cm in y.

Better calibrated. The shield added by Simplify3D keeps things nice and clean. 0.2mm layer height PETG, 0.4mm nozzle 60mm/sec.

The railcore design has no problem moving all that weight around fast and with decent precision. PETG 100mm/sec 0.15-0.1 mm variable layer heights with one extruder active.
